Its really exciting to know about Future(s) of Education initiative from Dr. Ashok. I had been associated with Dr. Ashok in a few
education related project and we keep on discussing about various possibilities of taking education to masses. We had piloted a project
on Empowering People with Information and Communication Technology(with a seed support from ITU Bangkok) with NGOs, Schools
and other institutions as its important stakeholder. The response had been absolutely amazing and our faith on participatory model grew
stronger. Lately we had been discussing about spreading functional literacy to target the illiterate mass using some simple methods and
contents. For example developing countries like India can use its a major chunk of literate mass (student community, retired persons,
housewife etc to name a few) to target at least one or two illiterate individual from his or her surrounding and pursue a time based program
